NRB Bank PLC has officially renewed its strategic partnership with MetLife Bangladesh for the eighth consecutive year, reinforcing a shared commitment to deliver enhanced financial security and insurance protection benefits to eligible credit cardholders across the country.
Under the renewed agreement, eligible cardholders gain access to tailored insurance coverage designed to automatically settle outstanding credit card balances in tragic cases of death or permanent total disability, subject to standard policy guidelines. Additionally, these cardholders are entitled to an In-Hospital Cash Benefit for each authorised period of hospitalisation, offering crucial financial relief to manage mounting medical expenses during periods of treatment and recovery.
The formal agreement was signed by Tareq Reaz Khan, Managing Director and CEO of NRB Bank PLC, and Ala Ahmad, Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Bangladesh, representing their respective organisations during a ceremony attended by senior executives from both institutions.
Reflecting on the milestone, Tareq Reaz Khan noted that customers increasingly expect banking solutions that deliver genuine, tangible value to their everyday lives. He emphasised that extending this alliance for an eighth year ensures cardholders and their loved ones continue to enjoy robust safety nets during challenging times.
Echoing this sentiment, Ala Ahmad highlighted that robust financial protection serves as a vital anchor during unexpected health crises or unforeseen emergencies. Through this enduring collaboration, MetLife aims to alleviate financial stress and foster greater peace of mind for banking customers.
