Sun Life Launches Private Wealth Platform Targeting Asia’s High Net Worth Market

Sun Life Financial Inc. has officially announced the launch of Sun Life Private Wealth, a dedicated platform designed to cater to the bespoke financial needs of high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients across generations.

The newly introduced platform aims to provide a comprehensive suite of advisory, wealth planning, and support services to help affluent individuals build, preserve, and seamlessly transfer their wealth to future generations. To streamline client management, the platform features a unified intake and underwriting framework, harmonised administrative processes and documentation, alongside round-the-clock client support services.

Commenting on the launch, Sujoy Ghosh, Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life Private Wealth, highlighted that the new venture combines the group’s global financial strength, specialised technical expertise, and deep local market insights to deliver tailored multi-generational wealth preservation strategies.

The strategic launch coincides with a rapid expansion in global private wealth, particularly across the Asia-Pacific region. Capgemini’s World Wealth Report 2026 reveals that global HNW individual wealth surged by 8.7 per cent to reach $98.3 trillion in 2025. Asia-Pacific emerged as the fastest-growing region globally, recording an impressive 10.5 per cent year-on-year increase in wealth accumulation.

Key industry metrics and survey findings underpinning the platform’s strategic launch are detailed below:
