Pragati Life Expands Customer Support With New Call Centre

Pragati Life Insurance PLC has launched a new call centre aimed at making it easier for policyholders to obtain information, seek assistance and raise concerns relating to their insurance policies.

The new service was inaugurated on Sunday at the company’s head office by Mohammad Jalalul Azim, managing director and chief executive officer of Pragati Life Insurance. Chandrasekhar Das, additional managing director and chief financial officer, along with other senior officials of the company, attended the inauguration.

According to a company press release, policyholders can use the call centre to ask questions about their policies and obtain relevant information and services. They can also contact the company if they encounter difficulties or have complaints regarding policy-related matters.

Speaking at the inauguration, Jalalul Azim said the new call centre would make communication between the company and its policyholders easier. It would also enable the insurer to respond more quickly and effectively to customers’ queries and service requirements.

He said an insurance company’s responsibility does not end with issuing a policy to a customer. Maintaining support throughout the policy term and providing timely assistance when required are also important parts of serving policyholders.

The new facility is available from 10am to 5pm. It will remain closed on Fridays, Saturdays and government holidays. Policyholders can contact the call centre at +8809610910075 during its operating hours.

The introduction of a dedicated call centre is intended to provide policyholders with a more direct channel for communication with the insurer. For customers managing long-term insurance policies, access to clear information and timely assistance can be particularly relevant when they need clarification or encounter difficulties with their policy-related services.

Pragati Life said it would continue working to make communication with policyholders more accessible and expand technology-based services. The company also plans to pursue further improvements in policy management and customer support as part of its broader efforts to strengthen service delivery.

The launch comes as insurers continue to focus on customer communication as an important part of policy servicing. A dedicated contact channel can allow customers to seek information without relying solely on in-person communication, while also giving the insurer a structured way to receive questions and complaints.

For Pragati Life policyholders, the new call centre therefore provides an additional avenue for obtaining policy-related information and seeking assistance. The company said its broader objective is to make customer service more accessible and responsive throughout the life of an insurance policy.
